Butterfly Garden at
Coral Gables Library

In 2001, Linda Lawrence, serving as Chairperson of the “Butterfly Garden” Committee of the Coral Gables Garden Club and the advisory board of the library completed the installation of a beautiful butterfly garden adjacent to the library at 3443 Segovia Street. We continue to tend it and fund new plantings each year, since the butterfly caterpillars love to nibble them to the ground!

The public is invited to stroll through the garden and enjoy the gorgeous plants and butterflies using the brochure as your guide. The brochure is available in the lobby of the library, or can be downloaded here.

Betsy Tilghman and Linda Waldron hosted a group of students from Coral Gables High School. The students were delighted to take photos of all the butterflies fluttering through the native habitat.

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.
