General Membership Meetings and Workshops

This year, we are changing our program schedule to accommodate members with daytime obligations. We will have two evening meetings, highlighted below.

General membership meetings will be at the Biltmore Hotel in the Danielson Gallery. *Lunch is served at 11:30 AM, and the program/meeting begins at noon. *Evening snack is served at 6:30 PM with the program/meeting beginning at 7:00 PM.

When General Membership Meetings held on Zoom: Evening Meetings Social 5:00-5:30 PM; Meeting 5:30 PM. Day Meetings Social 9:30-10 AM; Meeting 10 AM

Workshops will be in the Garden Center. Daytime workshops begin at 10:00 AM, and Evening workshops will start at 5:00 PM.

As I See It Photography Competition 2022

Coral Gables Garden Club’s annual As I See It Photography Competition

A photography contest highlighting the best in the natural world and wildlife.

Submissions will be accepted between April 1 and April 30, 2022.

PRIZES:
Grand Prize winner over all $1000.00
1st place $250 per category
2nd place $100 per category
3rd place $50.00 per category
Winners will be featured on our website, print & social media

EVERYTHING CORAL GABLES
Activities, architectural elements, buildings, urban life. Whatever you love about the City Beautiful!

FLOWERS, PLANTS, AND TREES
A featured specimen

THE NATURAL WORLD
Landscapes, waterscapes, geological, climatological features, sunrises, and sunsets

POLLINATORS AND PLANTS
Butterflies, bees, wasps, beetles, bats with their nectar and or host plants

HUMANS INTERACTING WITH NATURE
Any scene where an individual(s) is interacting with the natural world or wildlife.

ALTERED IMAGES
A digitized image that has been transformed into a work of art applying a variety of special effects or editing techniques. Nature must be represented.

WILDLIFE
Mammals, birds, insects, or fish that are not domesticated

A MATTER OF LIGHT
Any photo taken in the above categories in Black and White
